Scott Kirby
Scott Kirby
Chief Executive Officer United AirlinesScott Kirby is chief executive officer of United Airlines. He served as the company’s president from 2016 to 2020 and was responsible for United’s operations, marketing, sales, alliances, network planning and revenue management. As president, he played a pivotal role in enabling United’s cultural transformation and executing the company’s strategic growth plan.
Prior to joining United, Scott was president of American Airlines from 2013 to 2016 and president of US Airways from 2006 to 2013. He is a well-known industry veteran, with a broad and accomplished three-decade-long career in significant leadership roles within the airline industry. Scott started his career at the Pentagon and in the technology sector.
Scott has bachelor’s degrees in computer science and operations research from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a Master of Science in operations research from George Washington University. He is married and has six children.

Brett J. Hart
Brett J. Hart
President United AirlinesBrett J. Hart is president of United. In this role, Brett is responsible for leading the company’s external-facing functions including the government affairs, regulatory, corporate communications, advertising, market and community innovation, legal, global community engagement and environmental sustainability teams. He also oversees business-critical functions such as the customer experience, corporate real estate, human resources and labor relations teams.
Previously, Brett served as executive vice president and chief administrative officer for United, where he oversaw the company’s legal and environmental affairs; corporate security; corporate real estate worldwide; government affairs; community affairs; and international, regulatory and policy matters for the airline. Prior to joining United in 2010, Brett was executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary at Sara Lee Corporation, where he directed global legal operations for the corporation. After joining Sara Lee in 2004 as assistant general counsel, Brett held positions of increasing responsibility including deputy general counsel and global compliance officer. Before joining Sara Lee, Brett was a partner at Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal in Chicago. Prior to that, he served as special assistant to the general counsel at the U.S. Department of Treasury in Washington, D.C.
Brett received his Bachelor of Arts in philosophy and English from the University of Michigan and a Juris Doctor from the University of Chicago Law School. He is married and has three sons.

Josh Earnest
Josh Earnest
Senior Vice President and Chief Communications OfficerJosh Earnest is senior vice president and chief communications
officer for United Airlines. He serves on United’s Executive
Team and leads a world-class team to develop and implement
the airline’s global communications, advertising and community
engagement strategies. Josh works closely with leaders across
the company to shape the airline’s public image and serves as the
company’s chief spokesman. He brings to this role more than two
decades of strategic communications expertise from the highest
levels of politics and government, which included serving as
White House Press Secretary.Before joining United in May 2018, Josh was a political analyst
for NBC News and MSNBC, making appearances on the network’s
leading news programs including the Today Show, Meet the Press
and NBC Nightly News. During this time, he traveled across the
country and around the world speaking to audiences of corporate
executives, senior government officials, thought leaders, journalists
and students about the challenges of communicating in the modern
media environment.
Prior to that, Josh served for eight years in the Obama White
House, including as White House Press Secretary from 2014 to
2017. In addition to his work in front of the cameras, Josh played
a leading role behind the scenes at the White House to develop
and implement an innovative communications strategy that was
paired with a fully-integrated digital media presence to drive the
administration’s agenda.
His two-decade career in politics has taken him from Capitol Hill
to some of the largest states and most competitive races in the
country, including four presidential campaigns, statewide races in
Texas and Florida and Mike Bloomberg’s first campaign for mayor
of New York.
Josh received his degree in political science and policy studies
from Rice University. He is married and has two children. -
Torbjorn (Toby) J. Enqvist
Torbjorn (Toby) J. Enqvist
Senior Vice President, Chief Customer OfficerToby Enqvist is the senior vice president and chief customer
officer at United. He is responsible for overseeing our inflight
services, corporate real estate, contact centers and customer
care, customer strategy and innovation, and customer experience
and analytics.
Toby has been in the airline industry for over 24 years, joining
Continental in 1996. During these 24 years with Continental and
United Airlines, Toby has held several senior leadership positions
within operations and finance. Toby was most recently senior
vice president of network operations and customer solutions
for United. In addition to overseeing the day-to-day operations
of the airline in the areas of operational control, he was and
still is responsible for overseeing contact centers and customer
care teams. Another part of his past and current experience is
developing and giving our front-line employees the tools, policies
and processes needed to succeed at their jobs on a daily basis.
Born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden, Toby moved to the U.S. to
attend Ouachita Baptist University on a tennis scholarship, where
he earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration. He
received his Master of Business Administration from Southern
Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. He is also a member of
the Northwestern University Business Advisory Council. He is
married and has a daughter. -
Kate Gebo
Kate Gebo
Executive Vice President, Human Resources and Labor RelationsKate Gebo is the executive vice president of human resources and labor relations for United Airlines. Kate is responsible for leading a global team of more than 500 professionals in the transformation of United’s culture.
In her role, Kate and her team are the principle drivers of delivering on commitments to employees to provide a great employee experience; recruiting, developing and retaining top talent; and building effective teams to put customers at the center of everything United does while working closely with our labor partners.
Kate previously served as senior vice president of customer service delivery and chief customer officer at United. She was responsible for delivering an integrated and industry-leading travel experience for customers from booking to landing. Kate also previously served as United’s vice president for the office of the CEO, where she worked with United’s CEO, Oscar Munoz and the executive team to coordinate strategic company initiatives.
Kate joined United in 1998 and also held roles leading the Corporate Real Estate organization and in Procurement. Prior to joining United, Kate worked at Continental Airlines.
Kate received her bachelor’s degree in finance from Chicago’s DePaul University. She earned a master’s degree from the Graduate School of Business at Loyola University of Chicago. -
Gregory (Greg) Hart
Gregory (Greg) Hart
Executive Vice President, Strategy and PlanningGreg Hart is the executive vice president of strategy and planning at United. In this role, Greg is focused on critical issues including safety, hygiene and building a more operationally efficient airline. Previously, Greg was the executive vice president and chief operations officer responsible for all flight operations, technical operations and network operations, as well as cargo, safety and United Express. Greg also oversaw United’s global customer service delivery functions including customer contact centers, inflight operations, airport operations, food services and United clubs.
Prior to that, Greg was senior vice president of technical operations at United. Greg also served as senior vice president of network at United from 2010 to 2012 and as vice president of network strategy for Continental Airlines from 2008 to 2010. Greg held various leadership positions at Continental Airlines since joining in 1997, including staff vice president of domestic scheduling and managing director of corporate development.
A native of Milwaukee, Greg received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1987 and a master’s in business administration from Cornell University in 1993. He is married and has two children.

Linda Jojo
Linda Jojo
Executive Vice President Technology and Chief Digital OfficerLinda Jojo is executive vice president of technology and chief digital officer for United Airlines, responsible for information technology, data analytics, digital products, e-commerce, cyber security and the airline’s digital strategy.
Prior to joining United in 2014, Linda held the position of executive vice president and chief information officer for Rogers Communications, Canada’s leading wireless, cable and media company. She also served as the CIO for Energy Future Holdings Corporation and Flowserve Corporation. Earlier in her career, she worked for GE in various technology leadership roles.
Linda and her team have been recognized by multiple organizations for their technology leadership. In 2019, United won a prestigious “Webby Award” for its reimagined Mobile app and Linda was named one of the Top 50 most Powerful Women in Tech by the National Diversity Council. She has also been named to Crain’s Chicago Business “Tech 50” three times, most recently in 2020.
In addition to her work, Linda is passionate about preparing young people for STEM careers. She is Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Adler Planetarium in Chicago and a member of the Board of Trustees at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.
Linda, who is married, holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a master’s degree in industrial engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Gerald (Gerry) Laderman
Gerald (Gerry) Laderman
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial OfficerGerry Laderman is executive vice president and chief financial officer for United. In this role, Gerry is responsible for developing United’s overall financial strategy, including cost management, capital allocation and balance sheet optimization.
Gerry is a 30-year United veteran and brings extensive experience to this role. Previously, as a member of the senior executive leadership team, he served as treasurer and senior vice president of finance and procurement. In this role Gerry oversaw corporate finance, treasury operations, risk management, fleet management, tax and procurement (including fuel, technical and corporate procurement).
Gerry was senior vice president of finance and treasurer for Continental Airlines from 2001 to 2010. Gerry joined Continental in 1988 as senior director of legal affairs, finance and aircraft programs. Prior to joining Continental, Gerry practiced law at the New York firm of Hughes Hubbard & Reed from 1982 to 1988.
Gerry graduated from Dartmouth College with a bachelor of arts degree in 1979, and the University of Michigan Law School with a juris doctor in 1982. He is married and has three children.

Andrew Nocella
Andrew Nocella
Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial OfficerAndrew Nocella is United’s executive vice president and chief commercial officer. He brings expansive knowledge to this position, having joined the industry over 20 years ago. In his current role, Andrew oversees United’s cargo, United Express, pricing and revenue management, network and commercial strategy, sales, marketing functions and MileagePlus.
Before joining United, Andrew held various leadership positions at American Airlines and US Airways. He most recently served as senior vice president of network planning, alliance and sales at American Airlines, where he oversaw the airline’s route schedule, global sales and partnerships with other airlines. Before that role, he was senior vice president of marketing and planning at US Airways.
He also spent time in route planning for Continental Airlines. Andrew earned a Bachelor of Science in decision sciences from George Mason University.

Jonathan (Jon) Roitman
Jonathan (Jon) Roitman
Executive Vice President and Chief Operations OfficerJon Roitman is executive vice president and chief operations officer for United. Jon is responsible for all airports, flight operations, technical operations, network operations and United Ground Express, as well as safety across United’s global network. Most recently Jon was senior vice president of airport and network operations for United, overseeing worldwide airport operations as well as United’s Network Operations Center in Chicago.
Prior to that, Jon served as vice president of the Newark and Cleveland hubs, overseeing all aspects of the operation for both locations. Jon began his aviation career at Continental Airlines, starting in 1997 as director of design and construction in the Corporate Real Estate group. He subsequently held positions of increasing responsibility.
Before joining Continental, Jon was the manager of business development for BWAB Incorporated, a real estate development and oil and gas production firm located in Denver, Colorado. Jon is a United States Army veteran and resigned from active duty as a field artillery captain.
Jon holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and an MBA in business, real estate and construction management from the University of Denver. He is married to Megan Meighan and has a son (Ari), a daughter (Lucy) and two stepsons (Aidan and Liam).
