Item 5. Other Events.
Continental Airlines, Inc. (the "Company") announced today that it has paid all remaining scheduled payments relating to certain outstanding Enhanced Equipment Trust Certificate ("EETC") aircraft financings that were due on September 17, 2001. These scheduled payments had a ten business day grace period, which would have expired on October 1, 2001.
