Item 5. Other Events.
Continental Airlines, Inc. (the "Company") announced today that it will pay tomorrow that portion of its scheduled payments relating to certain outstanding Enhanced Equipment Trust Certificate ("EETC") aircraft financings that was due on September 17, 2001 and had a five business day grace period, which would have expired on September 24, 2001. The remainder of the payments due on September 17, 2001 have a ten business day grace period running from September 17, 2001.
