CONTINENTAL AIRLINES REPORTS FEBRUARY 2008

OPERATIONAL PERFORMANCE

HOUSTON, March 3, 2008 - Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL) today reported a February consolidated (mainline plus regional) load factor of 76.0 percent, 1.0 point below the February 2007 consolidated load factor, and a mainline load factor of 76.0 percent, 1.1 points below the February 2007 mainline load factor. In addition, the carrier reported a domestic mainline load factor of 80.7 percent, unchanged from February 2007, and an international mainline load factor of 71.3 percent, 1.9 points below February 2007.

During the month, Continental recorded a U.S. Department of Transportation on-time arrival rate of 70.2 percent and a mainline segment completion factor of 98.6 percent.

In February 2008, Continental flew 6.8 billion consolidated revenue passenger miles (RPMs) and 8.9 billion consolidated available seat miles (ASMs), resulting in a traffic increase of 4.5 percent and a capacity increase of 5.8 percent as compared to February 2007. In February 2008, Continental flew 6.0 billion mainline RPMs and 7.9 billion mainline ASMs, resulting in a mainline traffic increase of 4.8 percent and a mainline capacity increase of 6.4 percent as compared to February 2007. Domestic mainline traffic was 3.2 billion RPMs in February 2008, up 1.0 percent from February 2007, and domestic mainline capacity was 4.0 billion ASMs, up 1.0 percent from February 2007.

For February 2008, both consolidated and mainline passenger revenue per available seat mile (RASM) are estimated to have increased between 5.0 and 6.0 percent compared to February 2007. For January 2008, both consolidated and mainline passenger RASM increased 9.1 percent compared to January 2007.

Continental's regional operations had a record February load factor of 75.8 percent, 0.3 points above the February 2007 load factor. Regional RPMs were 734.0 million and regional ASMs were 969.0 million in February 2008, resulting in a traffic increase of 1.7 percent and a capacity increase of 1.4 percent versus February 2007.
