Oscar Munoz
Oscar Munoz
Chief Executive OfficerOscar Munoz is chief executive officer of United Airlines. He brings to this position deep and broad experience in both the transportation industry and large consumer brands.
Previously, Oscar served as president and chief operating officer of CSX Corporation, a premier freight transportation company. He also served as a director at CSX. During his tenure, CSX transformed itself into an industry leader in customer focus, reliability and financial performance. CSX was named one of Institutional Investor’s Most Honored Companies for a decade of excellent financial performance, including increasing its operating income by nearly 600%.
Additionally, Oscar served in various financial and strategic capacities at some of the world’s most recognized consumer brands, including AT&T, Coca-Cola Enterprises, and PepsiCo. Before joining CSX, Oscar held the position of chief financial officer and vice president of consumer services at AT&T Corporation. Prior to joining AT&T, he served as senior vice president of finance and administration for U.S. West, regional vice president of finance and administration for Coca-Cola Enterprises and held various financial positions at PepsiCo.
Oscar has served on the board of directors for United Continental Holdings, Inc. since 2010 and served on the board of directors of Continental Airlines, Inc. since 2004. He is active in several industry coalitions and philanthropic and educational organizations including the University of North Florida’s Board of Trustees and the PAFA advisory board of Vanderbilt University.
Oscar graduated from the University of Southern California with a B.S. in business administration, and he received an MBA from Pepperdine University. He has been named one of the “100 Most Influential Hispanics” by Hispanic Business magazine. He is married and has four children. -
J. Scott Kirby
J. Scott Kirby
PresidentScott Kirby is president of United. In this role, Scott is responsible for United’s operations, marketing, sales, alliances, network planning and revenue management.
Prior to United, Scott was president of American Airlines, since the company merged with US Airways in 2013. Scott is a well-known industry veteran, with a broad and accomplished three-decade airline career with senior leadership roles at America West and US Airways, where he was named president in 2006. Kirby started his career at the Pentagon and in the technology sector.
Scott has bachelor degrees in computer science and operations research from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a Master of Science in operations research from George Washington University. He is married and has six children. -
Kate Gebo

Executive Vice President, Human Resources and Labor RelationsKate Gebo is the executive vice president of human resources and labor relations for United Airlines. Kate is responsible for leading a global team of more than 500 professionals in the transformation of United’s culture.
In her role, Kate and her team are the principle drivers of delivering on commitments to employees to provide a great employee experience; recruiting, developing and retaining top talent; and building effective teams to put customers at the center of everything United does while working closely with our labor partners.
Kate previously served as senior vice president of customer service delivery and chief customer officer at United. She was responsible for delivering an integrated and industry-leading travel experience for customers from booking to landing. Kate also previously served as United’s vice president for the office of the CEO, where she worked with United’s CEO, Oscar Munoz and the executive team to coordinate strategic company initiatives.
Kate joined United in 1998 and also held roles leading the Corporate Real Estate organization and in Procurement. Prior to joining United, Kate worked at Continental Airlines.
Kate received her bachelor’s degree in finance from Chicago’s DePaul University. She earned a master’s degree from the Graduate School of Business at Loyola University of Chicago. -
Brett J. Hart

Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and General CounselBrett J. Hart is executive vice president, chief administrative officer and general counsel for United. In this role, Brett is responsible for managing the company’s legal and environmental affairs, corporate security, corporate real estate worldwide, government affairs, community affairs, corporate communications and international, regulatory and policy matters for the airline, reporting directly to CEO Oscar Munoz.
Prior to joining United in 2010, Brett was executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary at Sara Lee Corporation, where he directed global legal operations for the corporation. After joining Sara Lee in 2004 as assistant general counsel, Brett held positions of increasing responsibility including deputy general counsel and global compliance officer.
Prior to Sara Lee, Brett was a partner at Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal in Chicago. Before that, he served as special assistant to the general counsel at the U.S. Department of Treasury in Washington, D.C.
Brett received his bachelor of arts degree in philosophy and English from the University of Michigan and a juris doctorate degree from the University of Chicago Law School. He is married and has three sons. -
Gregory (Greg) Hart

Executive Vice President and Chief Operations OfficerGreg Hart is executive vice president and chief operations officer for United. In this role, Greg is responsible for all flight operations, technical operations, and network operations, as well as cargo, safety and United Express. Greg also oversees United’s global customer service delivery functions including customer contact centers, inflight operations, airport operations, food services and United clubs.
Previously, Greg was senior vice president of technical operations for United. Prior to that role, Greg served as senior vice president of network for United from 2010-2012 and as vice president of network strategy for Continental Airlines from 2008 to 2010. Greg held various leadership positions at Continental Airlines since joining in 1997, including staff vice president of domestic scheduling and managing director of corporate development.
A native of Milwaukee, Greg received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1987 and a master’s in business administration from Cornell University in 1993. He is married and has two children. -
Linda Jojo

Executive Vice President of Technology and Chief Digital OfficerLinda Jojo is executive vice president of technology and chief digital officer for United Airlines, responsible for the strategy and operations of United’s technology platforms and infrastructure, as well as United’s mobile app, e-commerce and commercial web platforms.
Prior to this role, Linda held the position of executive vice president and chief information officer for Rogers Communications, Canada’s leading wireless, cable and media company. She has also served as the CIO for Energy Future Holdings Corporation and Flowserve Corporation. She began her career at GE.
Linda is a member of the Board of Directors at Exelon Corporation. In 2018, Linda joined the Board of Trustees at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Since 2010, she has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Rensselaer Alumni Association, serving as vice president and treasurer since 2015. Additionally, she has participated as a member of the Board of Trustees at the Adler Planetarium since 2015, and its Executive Committee since 2016. She is a member of The Chicago Network, an organization of the leading women of Chicago’s business, professional, cultural, nonprofit and educational communities.
Throughout her career, Linda and her teams have been recognized by multiple organizations for technology leadership, including being awarded Chicago’s 2017 “CIO of the Year” and named to Crain’s Chicago Business 2016 and 2018 “Tech 50,” recognizing the top technology talent in Chicago.
Linda, who is married, holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a master’s degree in industrial engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. -
Gerald (Gerry) Laderman
Gerald (Gerry) Laderman
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial OfficerGerry Laderman is executive vice president and chief financial officer for United. In this role, Gerry is responsible for developing United’s overall financial strategy, including cost management, capital allocation and balance sheet optimization.
Gerry is a 30-year United veteran and brings extensive experience to this role. Previously, as a member of the senior executive leadership team, he served as treasurer and senior vice president of finance and procurement. In this role Gerry oversaw corporate finance, treasury operations, risk management, fleet management, tax and procurement (including fuel, technical and corporate procurement).
Gerry was senior vice president of finance and treasurer for Continental Airlines from 2001 to 2010. Gerry joined Continental in 1988 as senior director of legal affairs, finance and aircraft programs. Prior to joining Continental, Gerry practiced law at the New York firm of Hughes Hubbard & Reed from 1982 to 1988.
Gerry graduated from Dartmouth College with a bachelor of arts degree in 1979, and the University of Michigan Law School with a juris doctor in 1982. He is married and has three children. -
Andrew Nocella

Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial OfficerAndrew Nocella is United’s executive vice president and chief commercial officer. He brings expansive knowledge to this position, joining the industry over 20 years ago. In this role, Andrew oversees United’s pricing and revenue management, network and commercial strategy, marketing functions and MileagePlus.
Before joining United, Andrew held various leadership positions at American Airlines and US Airways. He most recently served as senior vice president of network planning, alliance and sales at American Airlines, where he oversaw the airline’s route schedule, global sales and partnerships with other airlines. Before that role, he was senior vice president of marketing and planning at US Airways. He also spent time in route planning for Continental Airlines.
Andrew earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Decision Sciences from George Mason University. -
Bryan Quigley

Senior Vice President of Flight Operations United AirlinesCaptain Bryan Quigley is senior vice president of flight operations. In this role, Bryan serves as the airline’s FAA certificate director of operations and leads the company’s flight operations division. His responsibilities include overseeing 12,500 pilots; developing and implementing pilot contracts, policies and procedures; overseeing all pilot domiciles, training, flight standards and flight technology; as well as the division’s operating and capital budgets.
Prior to this position, Bryan was vice president and general manager of United’s San Francisco hub. He was responsible for the safety and execution of all operations at this vital hub for United. Bryan also served as managing director and System Chief Pilot and managing director of flight operations. These roles were critical during the operational integration of policies and procedures associated with the merger between Continental and United Airlines.
Prior to joining United, Bryan served as a U.S. Naval Aviator and retired as a Navy Captain from the U.S. Navy Reserve. He commanded Patrol Squadron 62 in Jacksonville, Florida, and served as a senior staff officer to NATO prior to retirement.
Bryan received a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Appalachian State University and completed the Executive Scholar Program from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Kris Bauer

Senior Vice President, Technical OperationsKris Bauer is senior vice president of technical operations for United Airlines. In this role, Kris oversees all of United's global technical operations functions, including line and base maintenance functions; aircraft reliability and regulatory compliance; administrative, engineering, planning and production support of airframes, engines and components; facilities maintenance and ground service equipment maintenance.
Kris previously served as senior vice president, operations for Allegiant where he oversaw the airline’s inflight, flight operations, ground operations, maintenance and safety functions. Prior to Allegiant, Kris was senior vice president of technical operations for Northwest/Delta. Before joining Northwest, Kris held various financial positions at United, and worked in engineering at The Boeing Company.
Kris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Kansas and a received his MBA from Cornell University. -
Lori Bradley

Senior Vice President, Talent Management and Organizational EffectivenessLori Bradley is senior vice president, Talent Management and Organizational Effectiveness at United. She is responsible for setting and leading a global talent management strategy including organizational design and effectiveness, talent acquisition, and diversity and inclusion, as well as learning and development programs.
Lori is a veteran human resources executive, with more than 25 years of talent management expertise with large corporations. Prior to working at United, Lori worked at PVH Corp., one of the world’s largest global apparel companies, with a diversified portfolio of lifestyle apparel brands led by Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger. While Lori was at the helm of Global Talent Management for PVH, the company was recognized by Chief Learning Officer magazine as a top 100 company for Learning & Development. PVH University, of which Lori led the creation, has received numerous awards for innovation in learning and development, most recently being recognized by HR.com as a Top Five Corporate University. Lori was recently named to the 2018 Black Enterprise list of Top Executives in Corporate Diversity.
She gained prior experience with Wyeth, Raytheon Corporation and Development Dimensions International, a global human resources consulting firm, after beginning her career as a flight attendant for Delta Air Lines.
She is on the Board of Directors for Safe Horizon, the nation’s leading victim assistance organization, with a mission to provide support and promote justice for victims of crime and abuse.
Lori holds a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of North Texas. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Journalism/Public Relations from the University of North Texas and her master’s degree in English/Critical Theory from the University of Texas at Arlington. -
Jake Cefolia
Jake Cefolia
Senior Vice President, Worldwide SalesJake Cefolia is senior vice president of Worldwide Sales for United Airlines. He is responsible for leading over 700 sales professionals who manage sales programs, services and relationships with corporations, travel management companies and distributors around the world.
Prior to this position, Jake served as vice president, Sales for the Americas. In this role, he oversaw sales for the U.S., Canada and Latin America as well as the Global Accounts Division. He has also served as vice president, Atlantic and Pacific sales, as managing director of the Global Accounts Division and as managing director for United’s Pacific region, based in Hong Kong.
Before joining United in 2007, Jake held various sales leadership roles at Northwest Airlines and British Airways. In addition to his professional responsibilities, Jake has been an active leader in regional business organizations, including serving on the Boards of the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Young Leaders Circle of the Executives’ Club of Chicago.
Jake holds a BS in Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. -
Josh Earnest

Senior Vice President and Chief Communications OfficerJosh Earnest is senior vice president and chief communications officer for United Airlines. He is responsible for developing the company's global communications strategy, leading a world-class team to execute it, working closely with the company's leadership to shape the airline's public image and serving as the company's chief spokesman. He brings to this role two decades of strategic communications expertise from the highest levels of politics and government, including as White House Press Secretary.
Before joining United, Josh worked as a political analyst for NBC News and MSNBC, making appearances on the network's leading news programs including the Today Show, Meet the Press and NBC Nightly News. Prior to that, Josh served for eight years in the Obama White House, first as deputy press secretary before being promoted to White House Press Secretary in 2014.
In addition to his work in front of the cameras, Josh played a leading role behind the scenes to develop and implement an innovative communications strategy that was paired with a fully-integrated digital media presence to drive the Administration's agenda.
His two-decade career in politics has taken him from Capitol Hill to some of the largest states and most competitive races in the country, including four presidential campaigns, statewide races in Texas and Florida and Mike Bloomberg's first campaign for Mayor of New York.
Josh received his degree in political science and policy studies from Rice University. He is married and has two children. -
Torbjorn (Toby) J. Enqvist
Torbjorn (Toby) J. Enqvist
Senior Vice President, Chief Customer OfficerToby Enqvist is senior vice president and chief customer officer for United. He is responsible for overseeing our Inflight Services, Network Operations Center, Contact Centers, Customer Service Delivery, Customer Solutions and Recovery teams.
Toby has been with United for over 22 years and has held several senior leadership positions within operations and finance. Toby was most recently senior vice president of Network Operations and Customer Solutions and Recovery for United. In addition to overseeing the day-to-day operations of the airline in the areas of operational control, crew scheduling, air traffic control, etc., he was also responsible for the reservations and customer care teams, and for giving our front-line employees the tools, policies and processes needed to do their jobs.
Previously, Toby was also vice president of Airport Operations – Domestic and International line stations and hubs.
Toby joined Continental in 1996. During his 15 years with Continental, he served in a variety of positions including the vice president of Corporate Real Estate.
Born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden, Toby moved to the U.S. to attend Ouachita Baptist University on a tennis scholarship, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration. He received his master of business administration from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. His is also a member of the Northwestern University Business Advisory Council. He is married and has a daughter. -
Theresa (Terri) Fariello
Theresa (Terri) Fariello
Senior Vice President, Government AffairsTerri Fariello is United’s senior vice president of government affairs. In this role, Terri leads the company’s federal, state and local government engagement and is based in Washington, D.C.
Before joining United, she served as vice president of Exxon Mobil Corporation’s Washington D.C. office and led the company’s federal and state government affairs operation. In her 16-year tenure at Exxon Mobil, Terri advised the company’s senior leadership on key issues before Congress, the Executive Branch and the states.
Prior to joining ExxonMobil, Terri served as deputy assistant secretary for International Energy Policy in the Office of International Affairs at the U.S. Department of Energy and held senior leadership positions at Occidental Petroleum Corporation.
She also served as a Congressional aide to two Members of Congress. Throughout her career, Terri has been recognized for leadership in government relations, including being named to the
Washingtonian Magazine list of “Most Powerful Women” and The Hill’s “Top Lobbyists.”
Terri holds an LLM in International and Comparative Law from the Georgetown University Law Center and a juris doctorate from George Mason University School of Law. She received her undergraduate degree in political science from George Washington University.
She also serves on the board of directors and is a member of the executive committee of the Humane Rescue Alliance. She is a member of the board of directors of the Business Council for International Understanding and is a member of the Economic Club of Washington, D.C. and the Carlton Club.
Terri lives in Washington, D.C. with her two dogs. -
John Gebo

Senior Vice President, AlliancesJohn R. Gebo is senior vice president of alliances for United Airlines. He is responsible for the company’s global alliance strategy and the relationships with United’s many airline partners.
Prior to his current position, John was United’s senior vice president of financial planning and analysis. In that role, he was responsible for United’s business planning and analysis functions, including annual and long-term operating and capital budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, financial analysis, and investor relations, as well as the enterprise optimization and continuous improvement groups.
John joined United in 2000, and has held positions of increasing responsibility including managing director of revenue divisions finance, managing director of corporate financial planning, and head of United’s investor relations function.
Prior to joining United, John worked at General Motors Corporation in manufacturing engineering. He received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas and his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Michigan. John is also vice chairman of the board of directors of the Alliant Credit Union, an $8 billion financial institution serving over 270,000 members. -
Jill Kaplan

President, New York/New JerseyJill Kaplan is president of New York/New Jersey for United Airlines. In this role, she holds the top leadership position for United in the region, and leads United's brand within the New York metropolitan area, home to the carrier's New York/New Jersey hub at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). Kaplan works closely with all integral departments including government and community affairs, marketing, sales and more, as well as with the local airport authority, to ensure United continues on its path to becoming the best airline for its customers, employees and everyone it serves.
Kaplan joined United from Crain’s New York Business where she served as vice president and publisher. In this role, she set strategy, defined the vision and branding mission, oversaw product development and managed all aspects of the brand including sales, editorial, marketing, digital, events, audience development, custom solutions, and hosted Crain’s New York Stories television series. Prior to Crain’s, Kaplan held management positions with The Wall Street Journal and The Economist.
Kaplan serves on several boards in the NYC region. A graduate of Clark University, Kaplan and her husband live with their two teenage daughters in New York. -
Christopher (Chris) T. Kenny

Vice President and ControllerChris Kenny is vice president and controller for United. In this role, he is responsible for all accounting, financial reporting and internal controls.
Prior to this position, Chris was vice president and controller for Continental Airlines. Chris joined Continental in 1997 and has held various roles of increasing responsibility including managing director of corporate accounting, where he directed both corporate accounting and revenue accounting departments.
Prior to Continental, he was assistant controller for Halliburton Energy Services and senior manager for Ernst & Young LLP.
Chris received his bachelor’s of business administration degree from the University of Texas. He is married and has seven children. -
Janet Lamkin
Janet Lamkin
President, CaliforniaJanet Lamkin is United’s regional president for California, which is home to United’s San Francisco and Los Angeles hubs. Working closely with marketing, sales, government affairs, and others, Janet will lead the team to increase market share in a highly competitive market, by elevating the brand and driving a continued focus on California customers. She will also work closely with the local airport authorities to develop both short- and long-term strategies to benefit United’s customers.
Prior to this role, Janet served as California state president for Bank of America. She was responsible for growing the business and strategically positioning the bank in California, including developing and maintaining relationships and initiatives with a broad range of stakeholders in the corporate, government, philanthropic and grassroots sectors. She spent 20 years with Bank of America in California, serving in a variety of management positions.
Janet recently concluded a two-year term as Chair of the Bay Area Council, where she was the first woman to hold that post. She has been named one of the 100 Most Influential Businesswomen in the Bay Area by San Francisco Business Times for seven consecutive years. -
Tracy Lee

Senior Vice President, United ExpressTracy Lee is senior vice president of United Express, the regional operation for United. In this role, Tracy oversees the operation’s network, product, customer service, operations and strategy.
Tracy previously served as United’s chief customer officer, where he was responsible for Airport Operations, Inflight Services, Catering and Operations Planning and Design. Tracy also served as vice president of network operations for United. In this role, he oversaw the day-to-day operations of the airline in the areas of operations control, crew scheduling, air traffic coordination and operations planning and analysis. In his more than 30 years at the company, he has worked in several areas including finance, human resources and operations. He started in 1987 as a crew scheduler.
Tracy received his bachelor’s degree in finance from Texas Tech University, and his master’s of business administration from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a member of the MITRE Aviation Advisory Committee and the Northwestern University Business Advisory Council. He is married with three children. -

P. Douglas (Doug) McKeen
Senior Vice President, Labor RelationsDoug McKeen is senior vice president of labor relations for United. In this role, Doug is responsible for development and implementation of the labor strategy, negotiation and administration of all labor agreements governing United’s represented employees, including the coordination of international bargaining.
Prior to joining United in March 2008 as senior vice president of labor relations, Doug was senior vice president of employee relations and communications at ASTAR Air Cargo from 2006 to 2008. Before joining ASTAR, Doug held several labor relations leadership roles at US Airways, Northwest Airlines and America West Airlines. He was also a partner with Eclat Consulting, providing labor relations strategy and counsel to several airlines negotiating contracts with pilots, mechanics, fleet service and agent personnel.
Doug received a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Iowa, and holds a juris doctorate from Hamline University School of Law. He is married and has two children. -
Jonathan (Jon) Roitman
Jonathan (Jon) Roitman
Senior Vice President, Airport and Catering OperationsJon Roitman is senior vice president of airport and catering operations for United. In this role, Jon oversees United’s worldwide airport operations, including on-time performance, customer service, ramp and catering operations.
Prior to assuming this role, Jon served as vice president of the Newark hub, overseeing the entire operation for both the Newark and Cleveland hubs. Jon joined Continental Airlines in 1997 as director of design and construction in the corporate real estate group, and subsequently held positions of increasing responsibility, including airport regional managing director and staff vice president of the Cleveland hub.
Before joining Continental, Jon was the manager of business development for BWAB Incorporated, a real estate development and oil and gas production firm located in Denver, Colorado.
Jon served in the U.S. Army from 1984 to 1992 and resigned from active duty as a field artillery captain.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from West Point and a Master of Business in real estate construction management from the University of Denver. -
John Slater
John Slater
Senior Vice President, Inflight ServicesJohn Slater is senior vice president of inflight services for United. He is responsible for all aspects of inflight operations, including more than 24,000 flight attendants. He also oversees administration, flight attendant scheduling, policy and procedures, service, staffing, training, and recruiting. Slater brings with him decades of experience and a deep commitment to providing excellent customer service on board United's flights.
Most recently, John was the vice president of inflight operations where he was responsible for training, recruiting, service standards, and operational planning for the inflight division. He was also the vice president of United’s Chicago hub, where he oversaw operations and customer service at Chicago O’Hare. Prior to this role, John was the vice president of sales of the Americas where he oversaw United’s commercial sales division for the U.S., Canada and Latin America.
Slater served as Continental’s staff vice president of Latin America. He managed the commercial strategy and management of the Latin America franchise.
Slater was on the executive boards of the Airline Report Corporation, the Global Business Travel Association and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
He has two children and three grandchildren.
